    As an Engineer 1 you will be responsible for developing, modifying and implementing elements of technology to meet business requirements. You will have the opportunity to assist in the design, and will work with the team to test, research, and investigate technology options and assist with the requirements gathering of the solutions. You will be responsible for modifying code/scripts, and developing application code independently using applicable technology. This is an exciting role in a fast paced, collaborative team that consistently works on high-priority efforts to meet the organizational needs. We are looking for a self-starter that will maintain established service level agreements to meet business expectations and quality standards

    As an Engineer 1 you will use your technical knowledge to solve complex IT problems. Your incident management competencies should include hands-on experience troubleshooting routing, switching, load balancing and firewall problems in an enterprise-class network environment. You will work with peer support teams and service providers to quickly resolve problems and restore service to our customers. This role includes a week-long on-call responsibility that rotates on an eight-week interval. This is a day shift position covering Sunday through Thursday and must sit at our Weldon Spring location.

  • Qualifications

    Required:

    • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
    • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
    • 1+ years of network support experience in a large, complex IT environment
    • Experience performing network captures and packet decodes and interpreting results
    • Experience working with network security mechanisms such as VPN, IPSEC and SSL
    • Foundational understanding of DNS and DHCP
    • Able to succeed in a fast-paced environment, deliver under pressure, and multi-task effectively
    • Excellent communication skills

    Preferred:

    • Possess industry-standard certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE
    • Direct experience with Cisco ACI, F5 ADC, and Palo Alto firewalls
    • Experience scripting with Python, Perl, or similar scripting language
    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems
