As a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Oncology, your contributions will extend beyond fulfilling prescriptions. You'll incorporate your knowledge of specialty and oncology medications to provide pharmaceutical information on chemotherapy regimens and help patients get their medications quickly and accurately. You will also be responsible for managing patient and provider caseloads as well as troubleshooting insurance issues. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpretation and data entry of physicians' prescriptions, verify reimbursement eligibility, create orders and help patients manage their shipments.
• Processes prior authorization, medical necessity, and financial assistance to help patients start therapy as soon as possible.
• Work with procurement team to establish optimal inventory levels and ensure successful, timely shipments of oncology orders.
• Establish and develop rapport with patients and prescribers to cultivate an effective working relationship
• Resolve patient, prescriber, and client issues (including but not limited to issues related to insurance, delivery, stock, urgent orders, and other related pharmacy tasks)
• Correspond with patients and providers through both inbound and outbound calls

This role is equally challenging and rewarding. Strong attention to detail and computer skills are required as you prepare and process oncology orders for fulfillment. It's a fast paced, high volume environment which requires exemplary multitasking skills and accuracy is essential. The role also requires you to monitor products that have been recalled to ensure safety protocols are followed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of oncology experience
• 1+ years of data entry experience
• 1+ years of experience as a Lead Technician
• Unrestricted CA Pharmacy Technician License OR National Pharmacy Technician Certification
