Job: Campus Rep at The New York Times and Summer Marketing Ambassador at sp0n at sp0n, inc.
Fun fact: I did an interview for a news broadcast on the BBC last summer where I spoke about the international implications of Trump’s presidency and provided an American Millennial’s perspective on the matter.
Hobbies: Creative Writing, Fashion, Film
Favorite part of my job: “In working for the New York Times this fall, I am looking forward to bringing one of my favorite publications -- also one of the most revered companies in the world -- to my generation without dumbing it down or putting annoying "millennial" marketing twist on it. It's smart content for smart people. Currently I'm working with sp0n to launch a new app called Vigilante, which sends real-time crime reports near you to your phone. I really enjoy this work because it's an app that I see a need for among my friends and peers. I guess this is two sentences since I've secured jobs with two companies through WayUp: first I have always depended on the New York Times as a news source and currently I value it as a resource to network with leaders in a field that I wish to pursue. At sp0n I love that I get to see the beginning stages of a high-potential tech startup from behind the scenes and work at an on-the-ground level. My best piece of advice for other college students on the site is: Know what you want and don't take anything else. Do you want something that pays? Wait it out; you'll get it, you'll find a company that not only fits you but also respects you.”
