Founded in 1917, Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas offers ministry-related four-year, online, and post-baccalaureate degree programs in a distinctly Bible-centered environment. Its 200 undergraduates major in such areas as pastoral ministry, psychology, business administration, elementary education and nursing. Barclay promotes a life of service, by requiring that all students complete 96 clock hours of Christian Service by the time they graduate. On-campus resources include the Worden Memorial Library, with a computer lab, media room, and multiple study rooms, as well as five academic halls and the Broadhurst Student Center, which houses the popular Bear’s Den cafeteria. Employment assistance is also available. While small in size, Barclay nevertheless offers a wealth of involvement opportunity, such as drama and choir groups, a leadership-focused Student Council, and plenty of athletics (the Bears compete in volleyball, basketball, soccer and cross-country.) With its tight-knit community, spiritual values and experienced faculty, Barclay truly embodies the mission that God meant all of us to embark upon.
