Bismarck State College, or BSC, proudly serves about 4,000 students. Its comprehensive academics include a variety of degrees devoted to energy, such as process plant technology, ethanol training, and nuclear power technology. Students can earn their bachelor’s here or participate in a liberal-arts-focused transfer program for just two years, and gets lots of personal support: tutoring is free, and regularly-scheduled Study Skills Workshops provide information on note-taking strategy and test-taking. Although financial aid is available, Bismarck State is an excellent value to begin with; North Dakota residents pay only $3500 per year in tuition. Cultural opportunities like the Visiting Writers Series and ArtsQuest are constantly enriching the collegiate experience here. And there’s plenty of ways to get involved outside the classroom, too: the astronomy club, a chamber choir, several intramural sports and monthly publication “The Mystician” are just a few. Bismarck State College—North Dakota’s key to securing careers and strengthening futures!
