Brown Mackie College’s campus in Salina, Kansas is the heart of where the BMC system began decades ago, having since expanded into 25 locations nationwide. Fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, BMC-Salina offers professional diplomas as well as associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in 15 impactful fields, such as Welding, Business Administration and Exercise Science. Students here take a unique slate of one course at a time, each for a month, before moving on to the next. But it’s about more than just academics at BMC-Salina: On-campus athletics here include teams in basketball, softball and volleyball, which have competed as the Lions in NJCAA Division III since 1990. Furthermore, the Salina campus reaches out to surrounding communities; the Pancake Palooza in 2011 broke records in its fundraising efforts to support the Salina Area United Way. And BMC alumni epitomize the value of teamwork; Navy veteran Brian Long (A.A. in Business Management, 2013) even built his own business, now known as Longshot Enterprises, from the ground up using skills he learned here. In all ways, Brown Mackie College at Salina represents the ultimate combination of Midwestern values and entrepreneurial spirit!
