Chipola College is a public community college established in 1947, in Marianna, Florida. It is mainly a commuter campus. The college offers associate, certificate, and bachelor’s degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, and Nursing. The small class sizes at Chipola ensure that every student gets one-on-one interaction with the faculty, who are known for their friendly nature. Given the small student body of about 2000, and the low crime rate on campus, students claim to feel at home in the close knit Chipola community. Student activities include athletics, clubs & organisations, swimming, theatre, and the live radio webcast. The Chipola Brain Bowl team holds the distinction of having won the Brain Bowl championship (an academic competition for Florida Community Colleges) for seven consecutive years from 2008 to 2014, the longest winning streak for any participating school!
