A private university located in Denver, Colorado, the Colorado Heights University was established in 1989, in what was formerly the Loretto Heights College. The college is situated at the highest point in Denver, making its bell tower a prominent Denver landmark. It offers certificate, bachelor’s and master’s programs. Although it is a small college with about 200 students, the diversity on campus is notable, with more than 50% of the student body comprising of international students. The fact that the school is owned by the Tokyo based Teikyo University Group, which focuses on international student populations, may be a contributing factor. Students at CHU enjoy the Denver setting, with the diversity that comes with a large city, as well as the natural landscapes of the Rocky Mountain region.
