Founded in 1893, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is a public university located in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The college offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. It has more than 60 undergraduate concentrations, with the most popular majors being business administration, biology, kinesiology and exercise science, and sociology. The 7000 odd students enrolled at the university live mostly on-campus, and make for a diverse student community. Students can join one of the many clubs & organisations, contribute to the student newspaper The Stroud Courier, join fraternities & sororities, or become a member of the band or orchestra. The ESU campus is notable for having its own hearing and speech clinic, planetarium, museum, and 30-acre ecological studies area. The campus is located in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains, creating great skiing opportunities. Students also typically head into New York and Philadelphia for a fun weekend.
