Founded in 1968, Front Range Community College is a public community college located in Westminster, Colorado. The college has branch campuses at Longmont, Fort Collins, and Brighton, Colorado, as well as an established online campus. When the college built a new building in 1977, they used 4000 flat-plate solar thermal panels to heat it, making it the largest solar-heated educational building in the world (the panels have since been removed)! With over 31,000 students enrolled, FRCC is the largest community college in the state of Colorado. The college offers certificate and associate degrees in a variety of disciplines. Student activities at front Range include dance, clubs & organisations, drama/theatre, as well as the student run publication The Front Page. The campus’s proximity to the mountains gives student the chance to pursue outdoorsy activities such as hiking and snowboarding. Students can also take free rock climbing classes on campus!
