Georgia Perimeter College, founded in 1958, was a two-year public institution that has merged with Georgia State University. It enrolls over 21,000 students and is located in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. It includes an online program that is the largest in the State system and initiatives towards military outreach. It houses gorgeous botanical gardens; including the Ferns of the World garden. Its students, along with the community at large, can embark on plant discussions and garden walks. They can also get involved in a range of student clubs, from chess, fitness, politics to kayaking groups. GPC, now a part of Georgia State University, has become an integral component of one of the nation’s largest universities.
