Granite State College is a public college established in 1972, and headquartered in Concord, New Hampshire. The school has eleven other campuses in suburban locations across the state, in addition to an online campus. It is one of the four institutions of the University System of New Hampshire. The college offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s programs in a variety of fields. Granite State advocates for accessibility and affordability of education, and towards this end, they have highly flexible class schedules. Not only is this helpful for older adults who might have other responsibilities, but it is also advantageous for highly motivated students entering with an associate degree, who can opt for the fast track program, and get a bachelor’s degree in just 18 months! With a small population of about 1,800 students, campus life at GSC is infused with a community atmosphere, that is particularly highlighted in joint student avtivities/events such as sports, barbeque nights, and swimming.
