Founded in 1963, H Councill Trenholm State Technical College is a public community college located in Montgomery, Alabama. Since the college was formed as a merger between Trenholm State Technical College and John M. Patterson Technical School, there are two campuses in Montgomery – the Petereson and Trenholm campuses. The college offers associate and certificate degrees in areas such as culinary arts, nursing, truck driving, and business. Classes can also be taken online. It has a small student community of about 1500 students. Student services include a library, career assistance, and remedial tutoring. Student organisations on campus include SkillsUSA, and The National Society of Leadership & Success, which aims to help students succeed in their careers in lives, instilling them with the necessary skills, and encouraging community action, personal growth, and leadership. Montgomery is a city with rich history (voted Best Historic City by USA Today), and students can form a cohesive learning experience by exploring the various sites and events the city offers, from the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival!
