Found in scenic suburban Rock Hill, South Carolina, the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology offers day- or night-time cosmetology classes beginning every three to six weeks, and also grants licensures in cosmetology education. Their fully NACCAS-accredited 1500-hour programs focus on Redken color techniques, teach students how to run a successful business in the field, and include customized iPads for digital learning. But education here doesn’t stop when students graduate; regularly-scheduled job fairs assist with career placement, and a comprehensive continuing-ed program keeps grads learning “fresh, new ideas” (alumna Tangila Mills Bowers, owner of her own cosmetology business) from a variety of motivational speakers. And KSSC fully backs students demonstrating financial needs, as it has granted $1.7 million in scholarships over just the past five years. With all this going for it, it’s no wonder Kenneth Shuler was voted “Best Cosmetology School” in the region by the readers of Lexington Life Magazine in 2015!
