Since its roots as a preacher’s school in the mid-nineteenth century, through an expansion into the liberal arts and beyond the educational frontiers of the digital age, Kentucky Wesleyan College has been a rock of stability and strength. It offers about 700 students over thirty two-year and four-year programs and boasts a tiny student-to-faculty ratio of just nine to one. Its close association with the United Methodist Church means students are taught not just information, but values. For those that remain in good academic standing, KWC even guarantees that students will graduate in four years, or will pay for up to an extra year of tuition. Several programs can be completed in only three years, saving valuable time. On-campus organizations range from art club and a student band to various academic clubs and local chapters of ROTARACT, Circle K and Phi Beta Lambda. And the athletics program is robust for a school of this small a size: seventeen sports teams, including softball, basketball, track and volleyball, compete in Division II of the NCAA as the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers. Come to Owensboro for the quality education; stay to root for the purple and black!
