As an extension of Long Island University’s two main campuses in Post and Brooklyn, New York, LIU at Brentwood focuses on serving the needs of working adult students within Suffolk County. It balances the resources of a larger university with small class sizes, evening timeframes and an intimate setting, and is fully accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States. LIU-Brentwood offers several master’s programs as well as undergraduate programs in nursing, criminal justice and other concentrations, via four distinct schools—one of which, the Palmer School of Library and Information Science, is one of few of its kind in the country. LIU-B provides seamless transfer of credits to any graduate of Suffolk County Community College. Their staff regularly help prepare students for the working world via student health, financial aid, and career guidance services, including comprehensive resume critique and mock-interviewing services. LIU-B especially prides itself on its vibrant community; classmates and faculty are as dedicated to your success as you are!
