Across two campuses, one each in McCook and North Platte, Nebraska, Mid-Plains Community College offers dozens of degree programs at an affordable tuition rate of just $96 per credit hour. At MPCC, you can become certified in classic car restoration, graphic design, or logistics management, or prepare to transfer to a four-year institution with courses in art, political science, sociology or engineering, among many more fields. Each campus has a dedicated Student Success Center and library, which provide access to thousands of reference volumes, a number of computer labs and career assessment tools, and assistance with the online Blackboard learning program. For those students that move on to another school before completion of a program, MPCC even has a unique ‘reverse transfer’ option, which allows credits earned after transfer to count retroactively toward an associate’s degree. Financial aid (including a wide array of scholarships) is available, and Mid-Plains Community College is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. And for a little excitement, it even serves as the site of the annual Railtown USA College Rodeo! What other schools can claim so much?
