Founded in 1992, the Mid-South Community College is a public community college located in West Memphis, Arkansas. Originally established to provide vocational and technical education, the college now offers associate degrees, technical certificates, and certificates of proficiency in a wide range of fields. In early 2015, the MSCC merged with the Arkansas State University and was renamed Arkansas State University – Mid South. The school offers several opportunities for holistic student development and support, involving students in programs such as Somos Greyhounds and SillsUSA. The campus is also close to Memphis city, which is home to Elvis’ property ‘Graceland’, has a vibrant blues music history, and houses the National Civil Rights Museum (also where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated).
