The Morris County Vocational School District, headquartered in Denville, New Jersey, is comprised of twelve distinct college-prep academies, each with a specialty, such as healthcare science, culinary arts, sports medicine, mathematics and the visual arts. Just over 700 students are enrolled in the district overall, and the average class size has been kept low, at about 20. Known for being situated in one of America’s wealthiest counties, these academies have produced a number of National Merit Finalists, SkillsUSA Gold Medal Winners and Rutgers Distinguished Scholars, and 95% of the class of 2015 went on to attend a post-secondary institution. MCVSD also offers continuing-education programs for adults, including personal-interest classes—such as a brand-new cosmetology clinic—as well as eighteen career-training tracks and three professional apprenticeships. Adults can also earn their HSE certificate here, or brush up on English as a Second Language. Those with young children can even get them involved in the MCST Learning Center, a pre-school program that addresses motor skills and various basic educational principles while treating kids to multiple field trips over the course of a year. No matter your age or your educational level, there’s something for everyone in the Morris County Vocational School District!
