Established in the year 1967 in Long Island City, New York, the New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants was started with the aim to provide students with the training and education required to enter medical professional careers. The school offers certificate courses in medical and dental assistantships. The curriculum places an emphasis on practical training and service to struggling members of the community. Graduates of NYSMDA are qualified to take the Certified Phlebotomist Exam (CPT) and the Registered Medical Assistant Exam (RMA). Students are also provided with career and financial assistance.
