A merger of Sandersville Technical College and the Heart of Georgia Technical College in 2011 resulted in what’s now known as Oconee Fall Line Technical College, or OFTC, in Sandersville and Dublin, Georgia. OFTC offers associate degrees as well as technical degrees and diplomas in over twenty disciplines, such as electronics technology, medical assisting, truck driving, and carpentry. It even offers a guarantee: if an employer finds that a graduate falls short of expectations in a skill or ability directly taught as a part of an OFTC program, it will retrain that employee at no cost to either side. Fully accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education, Oconee provides its students a full suite of tutoring and career-placement services and supports several on-campus organizations, including ROTARACT and the National Technical Honor Society. For those who need to balance academics with a busy lifestyle, online continuing-education programs are also available. Rewarding and dynamic, Oconee Fall Line Technical College serves an eleven-county area and continues to grow by the day!
