Sponsored by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota has offered associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs to about 800 students per year since 1951. Although steeped in Catholic tradition, it welcomes students of all faiths, while encouraging development of the “whole person.” Its six departments encompass such majors as health science, criminal justice and religious studies, as well as many intriguing minors, like agricultural business management and sports psychology. Presentation offers a dual-enrollment program, allowing high school seniors to earn college credit early, and almost all (99%) of students here receive some portion of more than $3.8 million in annual scholarships, grants, and loans. The PC Saints compete in football, soccer, golf and volleyball, and twenty academic and special-interest clubs help students manage stress and make connections for life.
