Founded in 1900 as Rasmussen Practical School of Business, Rasmussen College now offers associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs at 24 campuses spanning six states. At its Fargo, North Dakota location, students can focus on any of thirty-two concentrations of study across seven schools, including graphic design, early childhood education, information technology and several accelerated business disciplines. Rasmussen pledges that when students enroll, they can expect career focused-degrees and career placement support (graduates have gone on to work for many local companies, including Caterpillar, Microsoft and Sanford Health), an affordable cost (many programs cost less than $8,000 per year in tuition) and flexible scheduling (online, blended, and self-paced courses are available.) And RC reaches out to it students through a vigorous social-media presence, too: recent Facebook posts from the college include tips to help introverts find business jobs, a list of healthcare jobs launchable within two years, and posts about scarce skills that employers seek above all others. For small class sizes and faculty that care, look toward Rasmussen College.
