Since 1968, River Valley Community College in Claremont, New Hampshire has served about 1000 students per year, and grants associate degrees and technical certifications in many important fields, including cybersecurity, family child care, massage therapy, and medical assistance. Extension classrooms are also available in nearby Keene and Lebanon. RVCC’s vision centers upon three cornerstones: innovation, educational rigor, and personal compassion. As a participant in the New Hampshire Dual Admission Program, it offers students the opportunity to transition smoothly into a four-year institution by working on an associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree at the same time. Campus resources are always right there at the push of a button, whether when accessing RVCC’s online Blackboard tool, using the internet through multiple computer labs, or searching one of the Charles P. Puksta Library’s many databases and electronic book depositories. And River Valley reaches out to the community, too: staff and students recently teamed up with the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains to officially kick off the Girl Scout Cookie season with a spirited rally! What more ideal place could you find in the greater Northeast for small class sizes and a personal touch than River Valley Community College?
