Rochester Institute of Technology, founded in 1829, is a private research university located in the town of Henrietta, New York. It has over 15,000 undergraduates and a diverse student body. Real world “co-op” education, through work experiences, is an integral part of the university curriculum. Students also have a choice of over 300 student organizations and a sizeable Greek scene. The school dresses up in orange and brown, RIT colors, every Friday; also known as Spirit Day! RIT Tiger home games exemplify the campus spirit just as much. Students can work on-campus part time and the institution’s career fairs, held twice a year, attract 250+ companies. Rochester Institute of Technology, with alumni that include TV host Kate Linendoll and tech innovator Kevin Surace, is a great place to get a sound education.
