San Diego State University, established in 1897, is a public research university located in San Diego, California. It houses over 29,000 undergraduates, and is known for its high research activity. The San Diego trolley, a moving landmark, passes through its beautiful campus; home to several historic buildings. The university has a roaring Greek scene, and is home to over 300 student organizations. It’s hard not to have fun here, with Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and Lego Land around the corner! Its proximity to the beach also makes it a haven for surfers or anyone with an appreciation for scenic ocean views. The Aztecs are enthusiastic about their home games, with the university being home to incredible baseball, football and rowing teams. Notable SDSU alumni include actor Gregory Peck and actress Marion Ross. SDSU, the film set for Hearst College in Veronica Mars, has a large and thriving campus life.
