SUNY at Binghamton is a public research university with over 13,500 undergraduate students. It was established in 1946, with its main campus in Vestal, New York. The university has been considered a worthy runner up to the public ivies, thanks to its excellent and affordable education. The main campus is shaped like a brain, allowing you to walk through primary pathways and connector roads that form the cerebrum, cerebellum, spinal cord, and so on. The Events Center is the epicenter of student life, as it hosts athletics, concerts, fairs, and more. The campus also has an art museum and nature preserve, showcasing the best of the university and its culture. It is south to the Susquehanna river, and the surrounding city offers exciting opportunities for arts and entertainment. BU’s community involvement is evident through student collaborations such as the reBOLD Binghamton public mural. Screenwriter, producer & director Marc Lawrence and singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson went to school here! SUNY at Binghamton is home to great academics and a warm student community; promising value for your money.
