The New School, established in 1919, is a private not-for-profit university located in and around Greenwich Village, New York City. The school has historically served as a haven for scholars fleeing from Nazi Germany. It’s also the first college to provide education for adults. The campus houses over 6,300 undergraduates, with memorable modern architecture, such as the egg-shaped Tishman Auditorium. It’s also home to the Parsons School of Design, one of the best art & design schools in the country. Student life is fun and energetic, with block parties, the famed Parsons Fashion Benefit and the Take Back the Night March; a march against sexual assault.
