The University of Texas at San Antonio, established in 1969, is a public state research university located in San Antonio, Texas. It enrolls over 24,000 undergraduates; the largest university in the state of San Antonio and the fourth largest within the University of Texas system. It has great on-campus amenities, including museums, the best of fast food and a bus-rapid transit line that makes commuting between the main and downtown campus less of a hassle. Students can partake it any of its 250+ niche organizations, including its prominent ROTC program or exciting Greek scene. It hosts wonderful fests, such as Fiesta UTSA and memorable football home games! The John Peace Library is as much a place for cramming as socializing and its iconic campus statues, Sombrilla fountain & (truly) lazy river are familiar sights. Notable alumni include sports reporter Michelle Beadle and Victorian-mystery novelist Deanna Raybourn. UTSA, with its Roadrunner pride and solid educational programs, is an up and coming university.
