The University of Antelope Valley was established in 1997, in Lancaster, California, by a retired firefighter who wanted to teach CPR and first aid in order to prevent unnecessary deaths. In the years since, it has grown into a private college offering associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and certificate degrees in a variety of fields, with several in the healthcare industry. With small class sizes, the students have increased interaction with faculty and peers, hence enhancing their knowledge and social skills. Student life at UAV is active, with clubs & organisations, sports, and students’ council that they can get involved with. Karaoke nights, movie nights, and sports are what those at UAV do during their downtime. There is also a bowling alley just down the street!
