Washington State University, founded in 1890, has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 30,000 students. The main campus is located in the small town of Pullman, Washington; where students get to use the transit system for free. It houses over 300 student organizations and a sizeable Greek community. The campus is also home to permanent art and fossil collections. The Washington State atheltics teams do much to raise the school's spirit; with their basketball and football home games being well attended! Students can stay fit, with opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, white-water river rafting and other adventure sports in the nearby Moscow Mountain and foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
