Washington State University, founded in 1890, has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 30,000 students. The main campus is located in the small town of Pullman, Washington; where students get to use the transit system for free. It houses over 300 student organizations and a sizeable Greek community. The campus is also home to permanent art and fossil collections. The Washington State atheltics teams do much to raise the school's spirit; with their basketball and football home games being well attended! Students can stay fit, with opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, white-water river rafting and other adventure sports in the nearby Moscow Mountain and foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Notable WSU alumni include broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow and rapper The Game. WSU provides its students access to a wide range of opportunities.
