How this Federal Services Company Supports Women Leaders and Trailblazers

Accenture Federal Services, a US company and wholly owned subsidiary of Accenture LLP, helps clients change how people work and live, for a safer, healthier, and more prosperous nation.

Everyone wants to feel valued at work, and while more and more women are making advances in their fields, it hasn’t always been that way. Still, there’s one leadership and consulting firm that’s always been ahead of the pack: Accenture. How does Accenture help its 150,000 female employees succeed? It’s all thanks to a comprehensive approach to promoting gender equality and supporting women through mentorship, networking opportunities and other initiatives. Here are just a few of the initiatives that make Accenture a great place to work.

Mentorship Programs

Accenture knows how valuable it is for women to connect with one another and share their stories. That’s why Accenture has the female members of its leadership team mentor junior employees through virtual workshops and networking training, so they can put their best foot forward as they grow in their careers.

Online Networking Programs

Accenture has an internal website called the “Accenture Women’s Network” for female employees. The site is dedicated to connecting them with resources, education, tools and multimedia applications to help them figure out their personal definition of success—and then pursue it. The network also has open forums for women to share their professional experiences and ideas.

International Women’s Day Conference

Accenture has a United Nations-designated event called Lead in the New geared toward empowering women, discussing what it means to be successful and talking about issues affecting women in the workforce, like the pay gap and gender equity.

Virtual Success Forums

Accenture has quarterly webcasts where company leaders share their own experiences and career paths, giving women a chance to see how they might grow their own careers at AFS and beyond.

Local Office Initiatives

Every Accenture office around the globe has its own initiatives to help women thrive, like networking activities and outings. Count us in!

With so much programming geared specifically towards women in the workforce, it’s no wonder that over 150,000 women have joined Accenture ranks. Want to be one of them? Accenture is now hiring consulting analysts for its Emerging Leaders Conference. Head on over to WayUp now and apply!
