By taking on a new challenge, you’re opening yourself up to new experiences and interests, which can help to give you a better idea of what you’re passionate about. Joining a new group can also teach you to learn new skills and adapt to a new environment, which is essential to any new career. A new group also may serve as a great conversation piece in your interview – trust us, employers love to take a look at your interests and extracurriculars and find something new and pleasantly surprising that they can learn about you.
