You’re never going to guess what some of their college majors or first-ever jobs were!
Jimmy Fallon
The Tonight Show host studied Computer Science at The College of Saint Rose before switching his major to communications his senior year.
See? It’s more than ok to change your major.
Ellen Degeneres
This hilarious host worked as a cashier at JCPenny, where she learned skills including customer service, attention to detail, and time management.
Kelly Ripa
This blonde bombshell has been a star from the beginning, performing as a regular dancer on the show Dancin’ on Air. While there, she often did the cast news reports, where she discovered her love of hosting.
Jimmy Kimmel
After having a series of unfortunate events at two different radio stations (hint: he was fired), Jimmy Kimmel landed a pivotal gig for his career.
Pro tip: Stay positive, and always keep your head up!
Oprah Winfrey
The most generous of them all, Oprah very literally learned the value of a dollar starting her career as a cashier!
