Last year, Parsons graduate Natalia Allen set out to find a creative solution to the ugly side of fashion. Alarmed by the toxic materials, worker abuses, and waste of natural resources characteristic to garment production, she founded the eponymous fashion-tech startup Natalia, Inc., which produces a line of innovative and socially responsible clothing for modern women. All of Allen’s stunning minimalist designs are manufactured in the US with zero-waste technology.
Natalia Inc. seeks interns to fill roles ranging from social media and community management to fashion design and development. Motivated candidates with outstanding writing skills, social media savvy, and a detail-oriented mindset will set the curve. These are paid opportunities that place students at the nexus of high fashion, sustainable design, and technology. Not only that, but you’ll have a job with a designer whose talents have earned her distinctions such as Parsons Designer of the Year, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and one of Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative.
