Win a Chance to Spend a Day With One of Entrepreneurship’s Biggest Names

What do Airbnb, Reddit and Dropbox have in common?

In addition to being some of the biggest names in tech, all three came out of Y Combinator (YC), the world’s most powerful startup incubator and early stage investor. From mentorship and coaching to introductions and demos, YC helps its companies own their industries.

So given that YC is one of the biggest names in the game, wouldn’t it be cool to hang out with a member of Y Combinator’s team, a true mastermind in the worlds of entrepreneurship and tech?

Now’s your chance.

WayUp is partnering with Red Bull to bring you our very special Shadow For A Day contest, where one lucky college winner will get to spend an entire day with Y Combinator Partner and COO Qasar Younis. This student will get unprecedented access to YC’s operation, Qasar and his entire team, so in addition to being an incredible look at a game-changing organization, it’s also the ultimate networking opportunity.

Even cooler, Qasar’s just as jazzed about this as we are.

“What WayUp is doing is awesome,” Qasar says. “I wish this was around when I was planning my career!”

He also gets how huge this is from a networking perspective. “One huge issue with figuring out what to do professionally is there is a canyon between what people think a job is and what a person who does that job actually does day to day,” Qasar told us. “Hopefully we can bridge that gap just a little bit!”

If your mouth has already dropped to the floor, here are the ever-important details you need to get your chance with Qasar.

What Will Your Day at Y Combinator HQ Look Like?

Once you arrive at Y Combinator headquarters in Mountain View, California, Qasar and his team will whisk you away for an entire planned day of fun, mentorship, and super cool startups.

You’ll be able to sit in on meetings with top companies from this YC batch and even attend an ultra-exclusive event with Twitter and Square CEO, Jack Dorsey, that not even the biggest press junkets are invited to.

What Other Cool Perks Do You Get?

On top of meeting some of the greatest minds in the worlds of entrepreneurship, tech and business, you’ll also get to share your experience with thousands of other people.

You’ll take over WayUp’s Snapchat for the day to give other young people the inside scoop, and you’ll write a piece about your time at YC for our blog. Knowledge is power, so why not spread it?

And here’s something extra cool: Even if you don’t win the grand prize, all applicants to the competition will be sent a complimentary Red Bull, because we all could use extra wiiings.

How Can You Apply?

Since you’re probably dropping everything to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (seriously, when will something like this come your way?), here’s what you need to know.

You’ll be able to enter this Shadow For A Day competition HERE if you’re a college student and HERE if you’re a recent grad now until 11:59pm EST on July 15, 2016. Once you apply, you’ll get a confirmation email from a member of the WayUp team. Please note that this contest is only for people in the greater San Francisco metropolitan area.

Qasar and his team at Y Combinator will review and select a final contestant by July 16th. If you’re the Chosen One, the WayUp team will get in touch with you soon after to talk deets. You’ll hang out with Qasar and the YC team on July 19th.

So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get your application submitted HERE for college students and HERE for recent grads and have your bags packed. We hear the California weather’s great this time of year.
