DHG has a long-standing relationship with NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) as a corporate sponsor and sponsor of several professional and campus chapters within the DHG footprint. As part of the firm’s expanding efforts to create an inclusive environment that values and appreciates diversity of all kinds, the DHG NABA LIFT Scholarship was established in 2021. The LIFT Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship awarded to aspiring and exemplary accounting and finance NABA student members. The application period for eligible students opens February 15th, 2022 through April 1, 2022.

All Applicants MUST complete all elements of the application on WayUp to be considered.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must provide a SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, & Threats) Analysis in response to one of the following prompts:

• Current challenges of Black-owned business in 2022
• Challenges of the virtual world in professional services firms

Who is eligible:

• Students attending college or university in the Eastern and Southern regions of the United States with a declared major in accounting or finance. Senior applicants must be on a CPA track.
• NABA student applicants that have satisfied NABA National Scholarship Application requirements. Students who are available to interview for DHG opportunities and are eligible for internships beginning Spring 2023.
• Students with a 3.5 GPA minimum (overall and major).
