Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients in the construction industry looking to fill a Payroll Clerk job for the corporate office located in Antioch, CA. You should have at least 3 years of Payroll experience. The position will report to the Senior Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will have in-house construction payroll experience dealing at least 200 employee’s, union employee experience, multi-state, assist with certified payroll, enter timesheets, and be comfortable getting cross trained in other aspects of accounting to add value to a dynamic team and company.
Qualifications for the job include:
Solid payroll foundation and understanding of state and federal and state payroll guidelines
Construction industry experience required
Union experience required understanding union rules and regulations
A team player with a work hard play hard mentality
Reliable, thorough, and dedicated
Attention to detail, problem-solver, and organized
Strong communications (written & verbal)
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree would be a plus
Experience: 3 years of Payroll experience
Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000
