Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS REMOTE MORTGAGE UNDERWRITER INCLUDE:

• Reviews all loan application documents to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance to lender guidelines
• Review and analyze various applicant documents (final reports, tax returns, credit reports) to determine loan eligibility
• Works closely with Loan Officers, Borrowers and Mortgage Operations team to ensure that all phases of lending procedures are completed in accordance with lending policies as well as procedures
• Be the POC to Loan Officers, Loan Analysts and Closers
• Determine daily pipeline workflow and prioritize accordingly
• Maintains relavent knowledge of secondary market underwriting policies and procedures as well as company's loan products and policies
• Assist in resolution of post-closing issues as necessary

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years related experience as a Mortgage Loan Underwriter capacity
• Strong customer service and communication skills able to work directly with Loan Officers and Senior Underwriters
• Mortgage lending knowledge DU/LP, DE certification, FNMA/Freddie/FHA/VA
• Ability to work in a team oriented service driven environment
• Familiarity with Word, Excel and mortgage loan processing softwar just as Encompass or Calyx Point
