Accounting Principals has partnered with our client in San Jose to identify a qualified Financial Accountant for our client on a long-term basis starting on contract. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee grants and contract expenditures against the budget to determine when revisions are necessary

• Manages and provide status on Program budget and resources

• Prepares all internal and external financial deliverable, including reports, plans, and notifications

• Assist with risk management analyses in conjunction with the Program team and Controller

• Leads the development of budgeting and forecasting in accordance with program requirements

• Assist with prepaid accounts and monthly financial statements

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related

• Experience with accounting and financial analysis in a non-profit setting (3-5 years)

• Knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, and ability to manipulate data in Excel

• Experience with Adaptive Insights is a plus

• Prioritize multiple tasks with an eye to task completion and follow-through

• Highly confidential with relevant communication and data

• Communicate respectfully with residents, staff, and vendors

• Strong ability to cooperate collaboratively with department leaders

ROLE: CONTRACT TO HIRE

COMPENSATION: $75-85K

HOURS: FLEXIBLE, HALF IN-OFFICE, HALF REMOTE
