Job Description
Accounting Principals is working with one of our top clients in the non-profit industry looking to fill a Project Accountant job for the office located in Downtown Oakland, CA. This position is all set to start remotely and will be until the year end. You should have at least 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant with strong overall accounting skills as well as strong excel working with pivot tables, vlookups, and if statements. You will be responsible for managing 30 to 60 projects and handling the day to day accounting functions including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, budget, and forecast. The role will also entail customer service being comfortable in front clients handling a variety of questions, and assisting with any projects as assigned.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
Industry experience with non-profit or healthcare preferred
Experience working with projects dealing with projections, forecasting and preparing budgets
Attention to detail, analytical, and organized
Strong at prioritizing, time management, and comfortable multi-tasking
Solid communications with strong writing skills
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience with accounting
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Work Schedule: 1. Regular work week (5 – 8 hour days or a 9-80 schedule with every other Friday off)
