    Description & Requirements

    Are you an accounting student striving for CPA eligibility and looking for a full-time opportunity in Audit?     How you will contribute:

    • FORVIS’ Employee Benefit Plan Audit team assists our clients with complying with DOL and IRS requirements as well as reporting and disclosure requirements under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
    • The employee benefit plan auditor will work on a variety of benefit plan audits, including defined benefit, 401(k), 403(b), profit-sharing, and employee stock ownership plans
    • This is an entry-level position for someone looking to specialize in accounting and compliance-related matters of benefit plans, with potential for career advancement
    • Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
    • Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
    • Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
    • Participating in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate positions require a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
    • Associates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state in which your office will be located
    • Solid technical accounting knowledge
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing audit work
