    As a DnA Specialist, you’ll be joined by an entrepreneurial team of multidisciplinary professionals in role which focuses on collecting, combining and exploring data to create insights that support our clients with their decision-making processes. You will improve our clients’ data integrity and quality to allow for more reliable reports and insights within the accounting, finance, governance and regulatory space and pursue automation in the process to create efficiencies.

    Your key responsibilities

    Business is constantly evolving, and disruption in our working world calls for an innovative approach to how we work.     How will I spend most of my time?

    • Performing financial analytics and reporting in complex business areas, while building technical competence and function as the primary day-to-day contact for Assurance clients.
    • Demonstrating business acumen in handling financial data and a comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies.
    • Using new technology to transform how we complete the audit of companies
    • Exploring new ways of doing business to improve effectiveness and efficiency

  • Qualifications

    To qualify for the role you must have a combination of

    • Be working towards an undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, data analysis, statistics, financial mathematics, or another related field
    • Experience programming in an object oriented language
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL; An interest in data analytics tools including, but not limited to Python, Tableau, R, Alteryx, Hadoop, Spark, Microsoft BI, JavaScript, D3.js, etc, and emerging technologies (Blockchain, Internet- of Things, Robotic Process Automation, virtual reality headsets, 3-D printers, drones, satellite imagery, etc.)
    • Experience and/or interest in programming for mobile platforms including iOS and Android, tinkering with new technology and willing to learn how it works
    • An innovative mindset: generate ideas and problem solve creatively, manage, promote and leverage change, drive disruption and think critically; personal agility and resilience
    • A strong academic record, including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position
    • Excellent communication skills and experience working on diverse teams and knowledge and understanding of a professional working environment
    • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
    • A driver’s license valid in the U.S.

    • A passion for activities outside of your studies, especially promoting your ability to collaborate as part of a diverse team and a desire to solve problems
    • An eagerness to learn how our clients operate across different industries
