    Job Summary:

    BDO is a place for energetic self-starters who can think and act like entrepreneurs. The BDO Capital Advisors (BCA) Intern will be responsible for utilizing their educational background and organizational skills to complete a broad range of analytical and operational tasks under the supervision of more experienced BCA professionals to support the extensive transaction-related services provided by the practice. In this role, the BDO Capital Advisors Intern will gain experience in the financials and operations of companies in a wide-range of industries and in the execution of investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and private placements. This opportunity will allow for a unique hands-on perspective on our firm’s practices and people, as well as begin to forge the critical relationships that will help maximize the chance for success in the future.

    Job Duties:

    • Constructs financial models focusing on transaction valuation work through comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, discounted cash flow analysis and other industry metrics
    • Assists in the development and composition of appropriate written documentation including tailored pitch books, offering memoranda, company marketing collateral, management presentations, valuation reports, and other transaction materials
    • Conducts quantitative and qualitative data and industry data analysis
    • Contributes to deal sourcing efforts by researching new and prospective clients as well as their respective industries to help compile pitch books and/or internal memos
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Education:

    • Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program required; focus in Finance or Accounting, preferred
    • Completion of junior year of secondary studies, preferred

    Experience:

    • Leadership experience, preferred

    License/Certifications:

    • N/A

    Software:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

    Language:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to follow instructions as directed
    • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
    • Seeks advice of appropriate superiors regarding issues related to compliance
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting and valuation methodologies

    Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

    California Range: $31.00/hr - $39.00/hr
    Colorado Range: $22.00/hr - $30.00/hr
    New York City/Valhalla Range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr
    Washington Range: $31.00/hr - $36.00/hr
