  • Responsibilities

    Concierge primary care practice with three locations in Chicagoland has an immediate opportunity for a Medical Assistant at the Glenview Office. Harper Health was founded in 2016 with the mission to care for each individual—patients and team members alike—so they can live their best life. Each team member has a role to play in delivering on this mission for our patients and for each other.

    Responsibilities include:

    · Serve as the anchor medical assistant at Harper Health Glenview.

    · Monitor and direct incoming patient communication which comes via phone, email and via online portal. Answer phone as needed.

    · Receive and process any clinic deliveries whether administrative (supplies) or clinical (vaccines, medications, etc.)

    · Open/close the office: check refrigerator temperatures, turn on/off and QC medical equipment, lock/unlock cabinets, etc.

    · Prepare exam rooms, including sterilization in between visits and stocking of supplies.

    · Greet patients on arrival and gather any necessary documentation (insurance card, driver’s license, etc.)

    · Monitor medical and office supply levels and coordinate with Practice Manager the ordering of new

    · Assist provider with medical procedures, such as blood draws, sample processing, suture removal, injections, UA dips, rapid acute care samples such as flu/strep/COVID, and other applicable office procedures.

    · Assist the Practice with weekly planning, reviewing all scheduled appointments, and assisting with the scheduling of acute and follow-up appointments.

    · Develop and maintain relationships among patients and the patient’s care team.

    · Demonstrate personal responsibility and respect for patients, families, caregivers and co-workers in professional appearance.

    · Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    · Qualified individual will have a High School Degree and Graduate of an accredited certification program (CMA/ATC).

    · Minimum of (5) years of experience in a Medical Assistant role.

    · Must be well versed in medical terminology and chronic conditions

    · Demonstrated skills in leadership, advocacy, communication, education and counseling and guidance

    · Culturally effective capabilities demonstrating a sensitivity and responsiveness to varying cultural characteristics and beliefs

    · Individuals need to apply critical thinking skills and make sound judgments both while performing daily responsibilities and throughout the patient’s continuum of care.

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are required

    · Ability to communicate accurately and effectively with all levels of employees and management

    · Detail oriented, thorough and able to handle multiple tasks and projects with varying deadlines and priorities

    · Ability to professionally communicate with patients, families and caregivers as directed by the provider
