    DHG Next Evolution of Accounting and Advisory Resourcefulness (NEAR) is comprised of individuals that have obtained or are pursuing four-year degrees in Accounting and Information Technology/Security related fields with an interest in obtaining hands-on experience in their field of study while pursuing their degree. The NEAR team provides a centralized group of resources to support assurance, tax, internal audit and IT advisory practices by performing entry-level tasks. The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of our teams across the firm on various projects. They will focus on productivity and innovative solutions to deliver quality work products to our teams. Upon graduation, a successful candidate may have the option to transition to the Internal Audit or Technology Advisory practices.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a working knowledge of Internal Audits, Technology Audits, Operational Audits, SOX Audits, Compliance Audits, Process Improvement Projects, ERM, and Risk Assessments
    • Research internal audit, SOX, risk assessment, compliance, GRC, and ERM best practices as appropriate for the engagement
    • Become familiar with pertinent regulations and begin mastering the technical aspects as they apply to the engagement
    • Assist in evaluating the client's system of internal control and testing financial, operational and technology controls
    • Support your engagement team in project execution on all phases of the engagement
    • Promptly brings to the attention of the engagement team any significant findings or questions
    • Uses interpersonal skills to deal effectively with co-workers in a professional manner
    • Consistently meet deadlines, while maintaining high quality work
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the firm's leadership
    • Adhere to DHG and professional compliance and ethics standards in all aspects of job responsibilities
    • Handle multiple tasks and manage schedule in alignment with department needs
    • Provide timely feedback and progress updates for all work in process
    • Understand and demonstrate the qualities identified in the firm’s Code of Conduct.
    • Thoroughly reviews work product for accuracy and completeness.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as needed to meet client deadlines
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum of two years education completed toward your degree, preferably in accounting or information technology/security related fields
    • High degree of computing acumen
    • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
