We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn fiduciary accounting, focused on developing expertise in a niche business, and can work independently. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or candidates interested in learning about the legal process and the role of a fiduciary. Fiduciary Accounting Services LLC, a non-CPA fiduciary accounting firm, provides reporting services for trusts, estates, and conservatorships to individual beneficiaries or the California Probate Court, in accordance with the California Probate Code. Fiduciary accounting is not corporate or business accounting, and does not follow generally accepted accounting principles. FIDUCIARY ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE Position Description Fiduciary Accounting Associate will report to Senior Director and prepare fiduciary accounting reports in accordance with the California Probate Code. Primary Responsibilities

    • Review data entry and reconcile bank and/or brokerage accounts * Review / Prepare detailed transaction descriptions and categorize deposits and payments based upon transaction description * Prepare draft reporting schedules in accordance with the California Probate Code under supervision of Senior Director and/or Managing Principal * Contact clients to obtain information and seek clarification or explanation of transactions * Respond to client, attorney or other professionals as needed on individual case work * Special projects as assigned Qualifications * Bachelors degree or a minimum of 2 years work experience * Basic accounting, bookkeeping and/or legal support experience a plus * Must be computer savvy and proficient in MS Word and MS Excel * Excellent research skills and attention to detail * Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects Position is full-time (35+ hrs/week) and candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday. Pay Range is $40,000 to $48,000 per year, based upon experience. Company offers two weeks of paid vacation each year. Please submit cover letter and resume.
