  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary:

    The Privacy Technology Intern (Intern) will learn about the basics of privacy and data protection risks and will be engaged to assist with client projects and internal initiatives. The Intern will work alongside other experienced professionals where they will assist with implementing privacy technology platforms, testing websites and mobile apps for compliance concerns and potentially other types of privacy and data protection work.

    Job Duties:

    • Assists with implementing and configuring privacy technology platforms to enable various aspects of a client’s privacy program
    • Assists with implementing integrations between privacy technology platforms and other systems
    • Assists with testing websites and mobile apps to detect compliance issues and other areas of privacy concern
    • Assists with providing guidance on governance of artificial intelligence solutions
    • Manages individual project responsibilities and tasks to deliver high quality and timely deliverables
    • Attends and documents client meetings and socializes with the team following the meeting
    • Assists project team with developing client reports and status reports including findings and recommendations
    • Assists with conducting research for client projects to ensure that they receive the most up to date solutions available on the market
    • Budgets time and assists with multiple project requests simultaneously, as well as the ability to monitor project tasks and risks
    • Travels as necessary
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Education:

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, Business Management, or another related field, required

    Experience:

    • Internships, externships, or professional experience with privacy, data management, technology implementation and/or compliance, preferred

    Software:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, required
    • Experience with or knowledge of software development principles and/or artificial intelligence technologies, preferred
    • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, preferred

    Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
    • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and research skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of information
    • Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
    • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
    • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
