    As a Staff in our Global Trade practice, you’ll use your experience and technical knowledge to bring value to clients and manage risks related to global trade matters. You’ll be a key member on a team whose combination of knowledge and experience assists clients in determining and implementing appropriate global trade strategies while identifying potential risk areas. As part of that, you’ll quickly get up to speed and obtain a broad base of knowledge to help you successfully interact with clients and bring innovative ideas to the table.

    EY Global Trade focuses on a variety of industries, including but not limited to: automotive and transportation, consumer products, health and life sciences, media and entertainment, mining and metals, oil and gas, power and utilities, and technology.

    You’ll be an essential part of a team providing high-quality technical work to clients. You’ll balance your time between multiple tasks, supporting the team in technical research, modeling and developing solutions, while building your foundational knowledge. As part of that, you’ll need to possess interpersonal skills, be able to absorb and observe, and be flexible in a changing environment.

    Your key responsibilities

    You’ll spend much of your time engaged in bringing value to clients and managing risks related to global trade matters. You’ll research complex customs and international trade issues and assist in the development and execution of strategies to improve international trade compliance, manage risks, and increase the operational effectiveness of supply chains.

    • Researching customs and international trade issues
    • Advising clients on customs compliance issues, potential duty savings strategies, and export control compliance
    • Assisting in developing and delivering quality planning ideas with timely and responsive services and high-quality work products
    • Staying current on global trade developments and working to develop new and innovative service offerings that can provide value to our clients
    • Contributing to client satisfaction by promptly and effectively responding to client needs and concerns
    • Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications.

    • A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Trade, Supply Chain or a related field; or an advanced degree in Tax or Law
    • A demonstratable plan for passing the CPA exam, a US state Bar exam or other professional designation or equivalent foreign certification
    • Excellent project management, interpersonal, communication, teaming and organizational skills
    • Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work beyond standard hours when necessary
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in a technology-enabled environment preferred
