DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

As an Accounting Outsourcing Services (AOS) intern at FORVIS, you will gain valuable experience and exposure to a variety of AOS projects, as well as be able to test your technical know-how. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset.

Depending on local office needs, internships are available in audit, tax, or consulting and can be part-time or full-time. Generally, spring semester internships run from mid-January through April 15th, and summer internships can typically run from June through mid-August.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

• Assisting with general ledger and financial statements
• Periodic closing procedures including account reconciliations and adjusting entries
• Preparing property, sales and payroll tax, or other tax returns
• Processing accounts payable
• Preparing depreciation schedules
• Participating in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite
• Fluency in QuickBooks
• Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree and CPA exam eligibility preferred
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall) preferred
• Applicants for positions with FORVIS must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
